Read moreFishing at Lake Tahoe or at any of the nearby lakes, streams and rivers is a beautiful experience even on those days that you don't catch any fish. The equipment on these pages may or may not be suitable for lake fishing. However, as you may already know, a fisherman will fish wherever his travels may take him. Don't forget to acquire the proper fishing license for the location that you are fishing at. Both California and Nevada fishing licenses are honored at all parts of Lake Tahoe, but not at any of the other lakes in the area. You may need to acquire licenses for both states. Check with the local authorities to be sure.
